Three Easy Ways to Keep Your Bathroom Clean

If you are like most homeowners, cleaning the bathroom is one of your least favorite ways to spend your free time. To help you out, we’ve put together three ways to help you get the most out of your elbow grease and the longest life out of your clean:

Make a shower squeegee your new best friend

You can buy one of these amazing little guys just about any where cleaning supplies are sold. Hang it up in your shower and use it at the end of every shower. This is one of the best way to keep hard-water deposits from building up on shower doors.

Area Field Rep and former Two Maids & A Mop Professional House Cleaner, Anna Caricari, uses one herself!  “I have a squeegee hanging in my shower and I wipe down the doors after each time I shower. It helps to keep the build-up low and makes it so much easier to clean later.”

Keep a stocked cleaning caddie in your bathroom

Store disinfectant wipes, glass cleaner, and a spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner in your bathroom. This way you have the supplies you need to spot clean quickly. Toothpaste splatters don’t have a chance to dry on the mirror, water doesn’t stick around long enough to make a moldy mess around the sink.  Added bonus: your bathroom is always drop-in-guest ready!

Keep floors dry

A wet bathroom floor is hazardous for slips and falls. It also creates make-shift glue for hair and dust. Once that stuff is dried on, it’s stuck on your floor until you decide to mop it up. So, go ahead and spot dry after you get out of the bath or shower. This will help you to avoid a nasty fall and a hairy dust bunny.

Follow these three easy tips and you should have a nice clean bathroom for a good long time. And when it’s time for a deep clean just give your local Two Maids & A Mop a call! Our Professional House Cleaners would love to come do the dirty work for you!
